Home Franchise Concepts is a subsidiary of JM Family Enterprises, a family-owned, professionally managed diversified automotive company. To diversify their portfolio, JM Family acquired Home Franchise Concepts in 2019 as their first non-automotive acquisition. The Company fit JM Family's key investment criteria: asset-light with strong free cash flow characteristics and a track record of growth in an industry with long-term tailwinds. Our History

In 1992, Chad Hallock and his brother Brent, Todd Jackson, David Lewis and Tony Forbes launched a new window treatment installation business called Budget Blinds.

In 2006, the founding five created Home Franchise Concepts, a multi-brand home improvement and décor organization that started with three brands, Budget Blinds, Tailored Living and Concrete Craft.

In 2015, Trilantic, a private equity firm, acquired Home Franchise Concepts from the five founders.

In 2019, Home Franchise Concepts, now 10 brands strong, was purchased by JM Family Holdings, a subsidiary of JM Family Enterprises. Home Franchise Concepts became JM Family Holdings' first non-automotive acquisition.
