ORANGE, CA—Budget Blinds, a custom window covering franchise and Home Franchise Concepts brand, has partnered with national non-profit, Homes for Our Troops, to provide specially adapted, mortgage-free homes for severely injured Veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Through this partnership, Budget Blinds will provide window coverings in ten homes across the country between November 1 and December 31, 2014, and in every HFOT home over the next three years. The homes built for these Veterans will help to restore the freedom and independence that they sacrificed while serving our nation and enables them to focus on family, recovery and re-building their lives.

Budget Blinds would like to thank its manufacturing partner Springs Window Fashions for donating the window treatments that will add beauty, convenience and energy efficiency to these homes for many years to come.

“Homes for Our Troops is fortunate to have the support of patriotic businesses like Budget Blinds to help us in our mission of building specially adapted homes for our nation’s Veterans,” says Major General (USA, Retired) Timothy P. McHale –President/CEO of Homes for Our Troops. “Having partnerships like this is crucial in allowing us to return the gift of freedom and independence that these Heroes fought so bravely to protect.”

The partnership with Homes for Our Troops comes about a year after Home Franchise Concepts developed a program called the Million Dollar Franchise Event (MDFE), which is a commitment to providing $1M in discounts to U.S. Veterans interested in purchasing one of the company’s franchise brands. MDFE helps veterans achieve the American dream of independent ownership. Since the inception of MDFE, Home Franchise Concepts has given more than $600,000 in discounts.
